So, I've found a new toy. Several friends have told me about Facebook, but I was a bit unsure of it, especially hearing about myspace. Well, I guess you could say I finally broke weak and joined. Wow! I had no idea how many of my friends were on it. It's a neat place to re-connect with those you don't see regularly, and even chat with those you do. I could get lost in it, but, just as with everything else, I must prioritize and enjoy in moderation.

24 Years!

Today I am 24 years old. By my second birthday, that is. Yes, it was October 21, 1984, when I was just 7 years old, that I asked Christ to come into my heart and save me from my sinful condition. He forgave and forgot!
Ashamed I must say that I am to be this "old" in the Lord and not as mature as I could be. I mean, I am 31 years old and am a wife, mother and have a few gray hairs and wrinkles even to show my age.
But how much fruit is seen in my life by others. Can someone look at me, listen to me and see a "Christian"? Not just by name, but a "follower of Christ." Is my conversation such as is pleasing to God? Can I direct someone to Him by my lifestyle?

I thank God for saving my soul. I thank Him for an eternity in Heaven. I thank Him for loving me so much that He sent His only begotton Son to the cross to die in my stead, for my sins. Such love!

Do you know Him? Does He know you?

America's Election

Our nation's polls are open for early voting today
Each one of us much cast our vote, and Christians, we must pray!

Everyone must take a stand, we each should make our choice;
To not decide this way or that means you won't have a voice.

The future of our country lies prayerfully in our own hands
But it's only on our knees that we can seek to save our land.

'Though neither candidate stands firm on Biblical convictions,
We must choose the closest one, regardless of their diction.

The Democratic party chose the pun "Obama-nation."
But truly looking from God's view, it's more "abomination."

Conservative Republican McCain will talk the talk
But when it's time to bite the bullet, will he walk the walk?

The only hope for change we have is living by God's Word.
And country first will be obtained by trusting in the Lord.

We know our Father has a plan, He knows just what's in store
And given what we're facing, we should pray as ne'er before.

Let's humbly bow before our God, let's pray and seek His face.
Let's turn away from wickedness and plead mercy and grace.

For He has promised He will hear His children and forgive,
He'll heal our land and teach us every day how we should live.

So do your part to save America from "Ichabod"
And help to keep our country "one nation under God!"

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." II Chronicles 7:14

So, here is my twist on 7 random things about me. I love babies, I love being pregnant (and NO! I am not expecting another one!!!) Just another glimpse into my thought process of recent days:

1. I found out we were expecting our first baby (Charis) in July, 2001.... she was born December 21, 2001

2. I found out we were expecting baby #2 in September, 2002 due date of March 31, 2003. Bethany Joy was born in Heaven on February 6, 2003 at a mere 33 weeks.

3. I found out baby #3 was on its way in April, 2003... God chose a bud for His heavenly bouquet on May 17, just 8 weeks gestation.

4. I found out November 2, 2003 that God had answered our prayer for another child and on June 22, 2004 Matthew made his debut into our family.

5. I found out how God can provide when everything is in an upheaval in the midst of moving across state to start college classes, along wit a new job in July, 2005. He surprised us with "news" of our 5th baby's presence and bouncing baby Andrew arrived on February 17, 2006.

6. I found out that nursing alone is NOT foolproof birth-control when God says He has another blessing in store for us. Andrew was just 9 months old in November when I started getting morning sickness and Faith grew beyond a "mustard" seed to full fruition on July 2, 2007.

7. I found God's hand of healing lead me through yet another "in His will" decision which allowed us only 5 weeks of anticipation before He plucked baby #7 from my womb to await my heavenly homegoing.

If you do the math, I have been pregnant at least partially each year for the past 7 years! I post this, not to pull sympathy strings. I rejoice to know that God is taking better care of the three I "lost" than I could ever dream to attempt. No matter how short each life, they were not in vain.

Now I am supposed to tag 7 others to list 7 random things about themselves, each with their own twist, so here goes:
